Cisco ha publicado una nueva IOS de la serie 12.4T, la 124-24.T1. La serie 12.4-24T1 añade:
- Routing
* Soporte para ASNs de 4 bytes en BGP4
* Soporte para multiples caminos en enrutamientos
- IP Services. Sobre todo se mejora DHCPv6, en previsión de la futura migración total a este protocolo IP.
* Autoconfiguración de servidor DHCPv6
* Asignación individual de dirección IPv6 en servidor DHCPv6
- Voz
* Call Manager Express 7.1
* Acceso a través de un único número
* Mejoras de SIP, para irlo equiparando a SCCP. (Monitorización, video, aparcamiento de llamadas, lineas compartidas)
* Sincronización de los usuarios de CUE con los del CME
- VPN
* Desde 12.4-22T, soporte para clientes Anyconnect. Esto mejora la compatibilidad con clientes SSL VPN Windows Vista y otros sistemas operativos (Esto habrá que probarlo…).
